    The Exhibition starts at the piano keyboard. Music, Sport, & Travel are all featured here in this exhibition.

    Much of my work features sporting action. Here I attempt to capture the start of the backstroke race. A similar design also features on this Commonwealth Games stamp pictured below. The movement of the swimmers and the flow of the water present many challenges.

    Two views of the railway station at Soller where I found myself waiting a couple of hours for the Palma train to get from the north to the south of the island. It's one of those stations that is very distinctive.
    Do take the train between Palma and Soller. The scenery is spectacular.

    Alighting from the train and on leaving the railway station you will encounter this familiar view of The Grand Canal.
    Sydney, Venice, Wells-Next-The-Sea and beyond as captured by the brush and oil stick of Adrian Monks.

    • The lone athlete clears the last hurdle.

    The exhibition continues with the Venice fruitboat selling to the local people. The floating market.

    As you can see, there are many more hurdles to cross before the race is won.
    More life from the streets and waterways of Venice.

    Still in Venice, here we see a darker image featuring a busy waterway. Everything and everyone is transported by water. Such a civilized way to travel.
    As the world gets wetter, will this become the new method of travel ? Will the hovercraft return ? With more of the world under water, and more people on the world, more life will need to be conducted above or below sea level. Canals, rivers, lakes, and oceans and me in my ark.
    Artists will be able to capture the scene on canvas much like Turner and others.

    • Although much effort is being spent to jump the highest, Nipper lays low as he plans his next Kat's Comment.

    The marathon continues here in London, with the leading ladies. The women in the annual London Marathon are getting faster. Will they be racing together with the men in the future ? Will I be with those leading Ladies ?

    I like to capture the action on the streets although running is not an exercise I usually take part in. I once ran round the Inner Circle of Regents Park and later regretted it for days. My usual exercise consists of either swimming, cycling or walking, but as for Triathlon, well, that's not quite my scene.

    The mad drummer plays at the 25 mile post, as the race is on the last leg. The runners have almost completed the 26 miles. Time for us now to change our attire and prepare ourselves for the art of a fellow artist. Ellen Buckland, who's work is featured below alongside my lilly.
